This recruitment may be used to fill future positions via an eligibility list for permanent, full time, part time, temporary and casual positions.

To provide pharmaceutical dispensing and technical support, under the supervision of a pharmacist, for a wide range of pharmacy services across the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD).

This role forms part of the Dispensary team and may also be required to undertake pharmaceutical distribution and inventory management tasks within the CCLHD ‘Pharmacy Procurement and Inventory Management Team’ when necessary to ensure optimal pharmacy service provision to patients and staff of CCLHD.

All positions offered are to provide pharmacy service to weekend dispensary operations at both Gosford and Wyong Hospitals.

Hours are available midweek to ensure the successful applicant has both professional and operational connection, and appropriate support, from the midweek pharmacy team.

Primarily responsible for accurate, safe and timely undertaking of pharmaceutical dispensing tasks as part of the Dispensary teams according to Pharmacy department guidelines and corresponding Role Duty Statement. May also be required (according to departmental roster, level of training/skillset and as per Role Duty Statement) to undertake pharmaceutical distribution and inventory management tasks as part of the ‘CCLHD Pharmacy Procurement and Inventory Management Team’.

What you’ll be doing

To provide pharmaceutical distribution, delivery, inventory management and operational support, for a wide range of services across the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD).

This role forms part of the ‘CCLHD Pharmacy Procurement and Inventory Management’ team and may also be required to undertake dispensing activities within the Dispensary teams when necessary to ensure optimal pharmacy service provision to patients and staff of CCLHD.

Selection Criteria

Hold a qualification in a relevant field recognised by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia or Certificate III in Community Pharmacy issued by a Registered Training Organisation or equivalent qualifications with ability to rotate across CCLHD sites and participate in after hours, weekend and public holiday rosters when required.

Demonstrated understanding of dispensing/issuing of pharmaceuticals or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated high quality customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and accurately and explain complex processes in a timely manner.

Ability to learn quickly, accepting responsibility and accountability for accurate completion of tasks, and manage time and work activities effectively to meet goals and deadlines.

Demonstrated strong work ethic and high level of attention to detail with demonstrated ability to be accurate and efficient when completing practical tasks.

Experience with information technology, including strong typing skills and familiar with the use of pharmacy software.

Ability to undertake physical activities associated with the position (i.e. pack, unpack and lift boxes), rotate between CCLHD sites and undertake weekend and afterhours work if required.
