The incumbent will specialize in perinatal sonography under the supervision of Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians. Responsible for the independent operation of diagnostic medical ultrasound equipment to obtain images of various OB-GYN conditions. Responsible for performing various scans according to AIUM guidelines. Scans range from routine OB-GYN to high risk obstetrical scans transabdominal and transvaginal scans, including but not limited to, nuchal translucency imaging, fetal anatomical survey, fetal growth scans, umbilical artery and MCA doppler flow, 2D/3D scans, biophysical profiles, cervical lengths. Possesses thorough knowledge of high risk obstetrical conditions. Displays proficiency in low risk and high risk obstetrical scanning and possesses the ability to determine normal vs abnormal fetal anatomy. Ability to perform ultrasound guidance for amniocentesis, chorionic villi sampling, and other procedures commonly performed in a Maternal Fetal Medicine practice. Responsible for daily operations of Maternal Fetal Medicine sonographic program, equipment maintenance, report of equipment failures, high level disinfection of equipment, and quality assessment/improvement activities
- Previous experience in MFM sonography in an outpatient setting.
- Associates degree in Sonography or 2 year certification in Radiologic Technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sonography
