This Medical Office Specialist opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule.

Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. The Medical Office Specialist, is responsible for overall functioning of the medical office, which includes patient scheduling check in and check out,insurance authorizations, medical records and supply management. This position requires the ability to multi-task and perform in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

Medical Office Specialist Job Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalentFront office healthBasic computer knowledge.
  • Knowledge of medical clinic functions (scheduling, billing, insurance verifications and authorizations, ICD9 and CPT4 coding, patient procedures, medical records, etc.)

Medical terminology and basic mathematical calculations. * Health care experience preferred
